Colleen is a master of spinning plates. Mother of 5. ER nurse. Real estate management. Spare time is…spare, and sacred for Colleen — and it sure can't be spent battling another spill on her children's bedding. Before long, Colleen changed her mindset from "it is what it is" to "there has to be a better way." And with it came Baywood Lane.

Conner didn't know what a duvet was until he moved in with his wife. His eyes were quickly opened to the nuisance that is just barely outweighed by its elegance in the traditional sense. So when Colleen reached out with her idea to flip the world of duvets on its head, Conner jumped at the opportunity to make the world love their duvets.

Why we exist

Anyone who's owned a duvet cover knows the moment. The cover is finally out of the dryer. Your insert is on the bed. And what should be the satisfying last step of a tidy chore turns into a fifteen-minute wrestling match with a giant fabric envelope — corners flipped, arms trapped, sheets mocking you from the floor.

Half the time, you give up. And then you put off washing it again. For weeks.

Baywood Lane started in that exact moment.

Not in a boardroom, but in a bedroom, with the same quiet question millions of people ask: why is this still so hard?

Baywood Lane is an homage to our grandparents, and how fresh sheets felt at the end of a long day. The small, unhurried ritual of taking care of the place where you sleep. We wanted to keep all of that and lose the parts that made caring for it feel like a chore.

So we built something better. A duvet cover that attaches and detaches from the insert in seconds. Patented. No insert sliding. No bunching. No climbing inside the cover. No skipped wash days. Just bedding that finally works the way you do.
